Data Center Technician (m/w/d) - 1399

We are looking for an experienced Data Center Technician to support day-to-day operations. In this role, you will be responsible for physical IT infrastructure tasks, Hands & Feet support, and operational reliability of server, network, and storage systems.

Tasks

• Rack, stack, cable, label, and decommission servers, network, and storage equipment

• Replace and install hardware components (structured IMAC/R activities)

• Patch and manage copper and fiber cabling

• Support troubleshooting of hardware, power, and connectivity issues

• Network management and DC infratructure monitoring

• Documentation in ticketing and asset management systems

• Escort vendors and comply with data center security and access procedures

• Automation and scripting

• Participate in on-call duty or shift work

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience in a data center or comparable IT infrastructure environment

• Solid understanding of server hardware, network devices and cabling

• Experience working with ticketing systems (e.g. ServiceNow, Jira, OTRS or similar)

• Ability to follow runbooks, SOPs, and change procedures precisely

• High attention to detail, reliability, and documentation discipline

• Fluent in English (written and spoken); German is a plus

• German drivers license advantageous
