Team Lead Frontend Development (f/m/d)

Your mission

• You own the frontend architecture and technical direction of the platform, ensuring scalability, performance, reliability, and long-term maintainability

• You drive the evolution of our React-based frontend, including state management, server-side rendering with Node.js, and modern build and deployment tooling

• You define and uphold engineering standards across code quality, testing, performance, accessibility, and security

• You make sound technical decisions and ensure strong alignment with backend, platform, and product architecture

• You lead, coach, and develop a team of frontend engineers, including hiring, onboarding, performance development, and career growth

• You foster a high-trust, high-accountability engineering culture focused on feedback, learning, ownership, and craftsmanship

• You enable collaboration, pairing, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the team

• You act as the primary frontend point of contact for Product, Design, and Engineering leadership

• You support the transition from functionally separated teams to cross-functional, value-aligned teams where it makes sense

• You own frontend delivery outcomes, ensuring predictable planning, prioritisation, quality, and execution

• You work closely with Product Management and Design to translate business and user needs into executable technical roadmaps

• You balance feature delivery, platform evolution, and technical debt in a sustainable way

Your profile

• 5+ years of experience building robust, scalable, and performant web applications using React and the modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem.

• Deep understanding of React, state management patterns (e.g. Redux or alternatives), and frontend architecture principles.

• Experience with Server-Side Rendering (e.g. Node.js), modern build tooling (Vite, Webpack, Rollup), and CI/CD pipelines.

• Hands-on experience with technical integration of advertising platforms, including ad serving, tracking implementation, and tag management.

• Proven ability to collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and product managers.

• First hand experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating other developers (either formally as a Team Lead or informally as a senior technologist).

• Strong ownership mindset: you care about outcomes, not just output.

• Excellent English skills for working in our international team; German is a plus.
